at the Parish of St. Margaret within
the Liberty of Westmr . on the County
of Middlesex upon an Inquisition
touching the death of a Few born
Female Child lying dead in the said
Parish Liberty and County

Samuel Slade< no role > of Pratt Street Lambeth Gentleman
on his Oath saith, That on Saturday last
(Novr. 21st.) about Eleven o Clock in the Foreman
Dept. was walking in Hyde Park in the parish
of St. George Hanover Square , and saw two
Men standing near the Head of the Serpentine
River there, who told Dept. that the had found
a Child that was Drowned in the [..] there
upon a Sat off which prevented it going
into the Holey & that the Child was found served
up in the Jack, Says that he saw a Female
Child lying on the Ground upon a piece
of Sack, Says that the Deced was dead but
that he observed no Marks of violence
upon the Child. Says that they called to
the Keeper and some Man soon came
towards the water sideDeced,Says that he went to
Hammers with and on his Return in the
afternoon called at Knights bridge and
was there informed, that the Childthatwas
brought to the Watchhouse there by the Parish
Officers.
