Informations of Witnesses taken on Oath this 14th,
day of August 1778, at the Dwelling House of Mr. Palmer
the Sign of the Nags Head in Carnaby Market in the Parish of
St. James in the Liberty of Westminster Before Thomas
Prickard
< no role > Gentlemen His Majesty's Coroner for the City and
Liberty of Westminster , on View of the Body of
William Blake< no role > then and there lying Dead, as follows
to wit

James Rose< no role > Servant to Mr. Graham Fishmonger in Carnaby
Market on his Oath saith That this Morning between 7 & 8
o' Clock being in the House of the Deceased in Marshall Street
near the said Market where he was a Lodger, and going over to
fetch Some Fish from the Shop the Deced Wife came running
down Stairs [..] ning and making a great Noise, Stamping and
Clapping her Hands, Deponent was much fightened and ran
up Stairs, and Saw the Deced lying on the Floor in his Bed Room
the Door being open, and he immediately went down Stairs and
went to the Market and got one James Loch< no role > to come to his
Assistance, and found him in the same Position, and they then
moved him and laid him Strait, his Neck was tued round with
part of a Garter, and was quite tight, and saw the other part of
