That the said William Blake< no role >
not being of Sound Mind Memory
and Understanding but Lunatic and Distracted on the 14th. day of
August 1778, at the Parish of St. James
in the Liberty of
Westminster
one end of Pair of Worsted [..] Garters tied together to an Iron Rod to the
Tester of a Bed in his Bed chamber of his Dwelling House in Marshall Street
Situate in the Said Parish, and the other and there of about his
own Neck did fix tye and faster and there with did then and
there hang Suffocate and Strangle himself of which Said Hanging
Suffocation and Strangling he the Said William Blake< no role >
then
and there instantly Died. And do the Jurors on their Oath do
Say that the Said William Blake< no role >
not being of Sound Mind Memory
and Understanding but Lunatic and Distracted in manner and by
the Means aforesaid did kill himself. In Witness whereofout
the Foreman on behalf of himself and the rest of the Jurors has
hereunto set his Hand this 14th, day of August 1778.
