The Informations of Witnesses taken on Oath this
28th. day of July 1778, at the House of Mr. Collier
the Sign of the Ports Bello in St. Martins Lane in the Parish of St Martin in the fields in the
Liberty of Westminster . Before Thomas Prickard< no role > Gent
His Majesty's Coroner for the City and Liberty of Westmr
on View of the Body of John Jones< no role > a Boy of the
Age of Nine Years in the said Parish and Liberty then
and there lying Dead

Hugh Jones< no role > at No. 43 in Queen Street Cheapside London Served
to Mr Bradley Druggist in Lawrence Lane London, on his Oath
Saith that on Wednesday last the Deceased his Son was at
home about 2 o'Clock at noon, that Deponent went away, and
on his Return formed that the Deced was not at house, that [..] the day
went away Soon after Deponent was gone as was Supported to
Play that about half after 8 in the Evening, Deponent was much
alarmed that Deceased had not returned, make Enquiring at the
three Crane Stairs if any Person had seen him go into the Maker
Could get no certain Information, he then Advertized him, and
on Sunday last about 2 o'Clock the Deced was brought to his Wound
being found that Day about Eleven o'Clock in the Thames near
Scotland
