ask your Mother, Deponent says that the Roles being all
sheilded in the Over, he wanted the Deced to come and
Sweep the Boards down, Deponent called him and he did
not answer, he then desired his Sister to go up and call
the Deceased, Deponents Sister came running into the
Shop crying and said oh God O God Bills ' in a Fit, and
Deponent then ran up into the Store Room, and saw the
Deced lying on the Sacks on his Right side with his Head
downwards and his Feet on some Sacks another higher and
he rather thought his feet was entangled between the Month
of the Sacks, Deponent immediately took the Deceased in
his Arms and brought him down into the Yard, spinkled
Some Water in his Face and tore his Collar or cut it, the
Deceased Collar of his Shirt was very tight, does not know
whether he had any black Ribband about his Neck as he
usually wore about his Collar, nor does not recollect whether
any Rope or Pack thread was round the Deced Neck, Deponent
says Mr. Kent an Apothecary came and picke'd him twice in
the Arm and no Blood came, and Mr. Harris a Surgeon , Mr.

Pearce and some others with the Deponent rubbed the Deceased
with Salt and hot Clothes and hot Water in Battles and other
applications in order to endeavour to restore Life, but all
without Success. Deponent says the Deced was his Apprentice
has been with him near a Year, and was a good Apprentice
in General. Deponent says he did not the Morning of
Yesterday beat the Deced, but only three med him and scolded
him, and he sent him into the Store Room as a Punishment.

Apothecary in his Oath saith that Yesterday about Nine o' Clock
in the Morning he was sent to come to Mr. Hills Bake
in the same Street, he went immediately, and saw the
Deceased near the Pump in the Yard, Deceased was in
his Clothes, only the Neck bone, Deponent tied up the
Deceds Arms and picked him twice but no Blood came
Says his Arms were perfectly cold, and Deponent Boughts
the Deced had been Dead some time, and Deponent was of
