Informations taken this Eleventh day
of January 1776 at the Parish of St. Martin
in the Fields within the Liberty of Westmr . in
the County of Midsex upon an Inquisition
touching the Death of John Rowlet< no role > lying dead
in the said Parish Liberty and County.

George Ross< no role > Servant to Mr. Gibbins Hair dresser
in Wych Street St. Clement Danes on his Oath saith
that he has known John Rowbat the Deced about
One Year & an half, and that they frequently
Spent their Evening together says that on Monday
evening last Janry 8th) about five o'Clock his this Dept
called upon the Deced at Mr Kenyons in Burleigh
Street , and staid with him there until about Eight
o'Clock, that he went away and called upon deced
again in about half an hour, and then went with
deced to a Club at Mr. Jones a Victualler in
Hewitts Court St. Martins , Where they staid
Drinking until about Eleven o'Clock, That this
Dept. the Deced, Jacob West Thomas Hanover and
Mr. Thacker, went away towards home, that
the Deced Stopped to Speak to a Girl in the Strand
and went with her to a Publick House in
Moor's Yard that the others followed, and that
they drank two pots of Beer there, and then
went away towards home, That they
afterwards want to a Publick House the
Bottom of Charles Court , Strand, and there
had six penny worth of Gin & Water, that the
Deced & Jacob West went out and that Dept.
followed in a Few Minutes and saw then upon
& by the side of Black Lyon Stairs, that the Deced
went into one of the Barges there upon the
River Thomas and Walked over a great many
of them, Dept got upon the Barge next to Store
but going no further Deced came back and
they all went into the Publick House again
