Informations taken this Twenty ninth
day of March 1774 at the Parish of St. Martin
in the Fields within the Liberty of Westmr .
in the County of Middlesex upon and Inquisition
touching the death of Joseph Beck< no role > lying dead
in the said Parish Liberty and County.

James Beck< no role > of Hedge Lane in the Parish of St. Martins
in the Fields Westmr. Baker on his Oath saith, that Joseph Beck< no role >
the Deced Father to this Dept. lived with him in Hedge
Lane Aged Eighty two, Says that the Deced went out
last Friday Morning (March 25.) about half hour after Ten
o'Clock, Says that between two and three o'Clock
that Afternoon and Man came to his House and said
that the Deced was run over by one of the Queen's Light House
Men, and was carried in a Coach to St. George's Hospital
and believed that Dept. would not see him alive
Says that he went immediately to St. George Hospital
where he found the Deced with a Wound on his
Forehead, when the Deced told Dept. that the
Queen's Light House men were riding along, there
him down and rode over him, and that he endeavored
to get out of their Way, Says that the Deced died
in said Hospital yesterday Morning (March 28th.)
and believes that his Death was occasioned by the
hurt he then received.

Queen's House in St. James's Park on his Oath saith
That on Friday last about one o'Clock the Queen
was going out Airing in a Coach, That a Party
of the Kight Horse men were coming to attend her
Majesty and were riding briskly along from
the Green Park Says that the Deced was standing
in St. James's Park near the Queen's House when
