David Lyall< no role > at the Black Bear in Piecadilly Victualler
on his Oath saith that the Deced has lodged in Dept
House ever since last Friday Night, Says that the
Deced came down Stairs yesterday Morning, and
appeared to be very much out of order That he called
for six pennyworth of Remand Milk, That Dept. drank to
him and Deced drank the rest, Says that the Deced Shook
very much and that he looked very wild & confused
and complained of a pain in his Bowels, Says that the
Deced went to Bed again, and that the Maid warrned
the Bed for him, Says that he did not see the Deced
afterwards until between four and five o'Clock, when
the Chambermaid was ordered to go up Stairs to see the
Deced, Says that the Maid came down immediately
Screamed out and alarmed the Family Says that
Mr. Nash Mr. Bush & Mr. Gregory who were in the House
went up into Deced's Room before the Depont. Says
that he saw the Deced Hanging by a Cord which was
fastened to an Iron Hook, in the Wainscot near the
Window and about the Deceds [..] Says that the Deced
was taken down, when Dept. felt his Hond which
was Cold, and Deced appeared to have been dead some
time and Dept. believes that he Hanged himself
Says that the Deced yesterday morning when he
drank his Rum and Milk spoke sensible, but looked
like a Man disordered in his Mind

Richard Delves< no role > of Tunbridge Wells Butcher on his
Oath saith, That he has known the Deced upwards of
Thirty Years, That his Behaviour for three months
last fast has been very different from what it used
to be, That the Deced appeared to be low Spirited and
very uneasy in his Mind, and Dept. belives that
