An Inquisition Indented, taken for our Sovereign Lord the
King, at the Parish of Saint Margaret
within the Liberty of the Dean and Chapter of the Collegiate Church of St. Peter, Westminster ,
in the County of Middlesex , the Twenty fourth day of July in the Thirteenth Year
of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord GEORGE the Third, by the Grace of God, of Great-Britain,
France and Ireland King, Defender of the Faith, and so forth, before Thomas Prickard< no role > , Gentleman,
Coroner of our said Lord the King for the said City and Liberty, on View of the Body of
Michael Dunn< no role > then and there lying dead, upon the Oath of David Woodley< no role > ,
Clayton Wilkinson< no role > , William Bussey< no role > This name instance is in a workspace. , Richard Porter< no role > , John Gardner< no role > , John Stone< no role > , John Emmerson< no role > ,
Esau Alfred< no role > , John Hilton< no role > , John Smith< no role > , John Nummelley< no role > , and Rice Evors< no role >
good and lawful Men of the said Liberty, duly
chosen, who being then and there duly sworn and charged to enquire for our said Lord the
King, when, how, and by what Means the said Michael Dunn< no role > came to
h is Death, do upon their Oath say, That the said Michael Dunn< no role > on the Twentieth Day of
July in the Year aforesaid at the Parish and in the Liberty and County aforesaid being employed as a Labourer and Standing
on the Top of a Pile of Old wood the back of Buildings of Mr. Alexander, Apothecary in Dartmouth Street, and Stepping
on a Plank of Wood, the Same gave way by reason whereof it so happened that he the said Michael Dunn< no role > accidentally
Casually and by Misfortune fell from the said Pile of Old wood into the back yard Paved with Stone of the dwelling House
of Mrs. Frazer situate in Park Street in the Said Parish Liberty and County and by means thereof did then and there
receive by the Fall aforesaid One Mortal Beside and Contusion on the head of him the said Michael Dunn< no role > of which
said Mortal Bruise and Contusion he the said Michael Dunn< no role > at the Parish of Saint Margaret to wit at the Westminster
Hospital in James Street there, and also at this Apartments in Charles Street Saint James's Square in the Parish of
Saint James in the Liberty and County aforesaid did Languish and Languishing did Live from the said Twentieth day of
July untill the Twenty fourth day of the same Month in the Year aforesaid on which said twenty fourth day of July in
the Yar aforesaid at the Parish of Saint Margaret aforesaid to wit in the Hospital aforesaid he the said Michael Dunn< no role > of
the said Mortal Bruise and Contusion did Dye. And so the Jurors aforesaid on their Oath aforesaid do say, that the
said Michael Dunn< no role > in Manner and by the means aforesaid accidentally casually and by Misfortune came to his Death
and not otherwise In Witness where of as well the said Coroner as the Foreman of he Jurors aforesaid on behalf
of himself and the rest of the said Jurors have to this Inquisition set their Hands and Seals the Day Year and at
the Place first above mentioned.
