17th. day of July 1773 in the Parish of St.
George Hanover Square at the Dwellings
House of Mr Morris Rice Known by the
Sign of the Barley Now in Mount Street
Before Thomas Prickard< no role > Gentleman
His Majesty's Coroner for the said City and
Liberty touching the Death of Thomas

William King< no role > Servant to Mrs. Bartlett in Gresvenor Street on
his Oath Says that on Thursday lad about 6 o'Clock in the
Morning he was going to undress himself at the Supertime River
in Hyde Parks in Order to go into the said River to Bathe, and
saw the Deced in the Said river on the Opposie side a Swimming
says tha Deced attempted to Lwin over to the side the Deponent
was, and just as he had got about half way the River the
Deponent called to him to keep from the Plat of Weeds, and in
a Minute or two he tried to strike from the Weeds but was not
able to get above two Yards fom there, Deponent observed he was
quite spent and Weak and not able to support himself, and Saw
