in the Evening when they set out from Battersea , and
that the Deced there got upon the top of the Load of Turneps
and road from thence until he came near unto the
Church at Chelsea , Says that he was driving his Horses
opposite to Chelsea Church when he heard a Young Man
cry out that the Man had fallen from the top of the
Waggon, upon which this Dept. stopped his Horses and ran
back and found the Deced lifted up and standing
against a House there near the Sum Alehouse when
he told this Dept. that he fell down off he Waggon to
the Ground and complained much of his Head and Arm
but said that the Wheel did not go over him, Says that
[..] the Deced was not able to Walk home, and Dept.
left him at Chelsea and drove his Waggon home and
upon Acquainting Mr. Warden Foreman to Mr. Barrow therewith
he was ordered to take a Coach to fetch the Deced home
which he did, and carried him to his own Lodgings
in Tufton Street Westmr. where he still complained
if his Head and Arm, and was taken the next day
to the Westmr. Hospital Says that the Deced did
not appear to be in Liquor when he went upon
the Load of Turneps and believes that his fall was
Merely Accidental.
