Margaret within the Liberty of Westmr
. in the
County of Midsex upon an Inquisition touching
the death of

lying dead in the said
Parish Liberty and County.

Hospital in the Parish of St. Margaret Westmr
. on
his Oath saith, That on the Twenty second day of Octr.
last John Powell< no role >
the Deced was brought to said Hospital
as an Accident, with a Contused Wound on the right
side of his Head, which Deced informed this Dept. he had
reced by unloading a Cart of Beans, Says that the
Deced continued in the House and appeared to be in
a fair Way of Recovering as Dept. thought until within
about a week of his death, when evident Marks of an
Inflammation in the Brains appeared, That the Deced
grew worse and died in said Hospital on Wednesday last (Novr. 25th.)
Says that since the Death this Dept. opened the Deced's Head
and found Matter upon the right Hemisphere of the Brain
between the dural & pia Mater, brought on by the blow,
which was the cause of the Deced's death.

Westmr. on her Oath saith, That above five weeks ago he was
with the Deced and two other Servants of Mr. Campbell
unloading Beans in Sacks out of a Cart at Mr. Campbell
wharf inter the Gra [..] Says that the Deced had carried one of the Sacks
up a large Step Ladder and beingalmost ofnear the top of the
Ladder [..] Dept. thinks that the Deced was not strong enough
to carry so great a Weight. Fell down att the Ladder upon
the Stone Pavement in the Yard, Says that the Deced bled
