Informations taken this Fifth day of October
1772 at the Parish of St. John the Evangelist within
the Liberty of Westmr . in the County of Middlesex
upon an Inquisition touching the Death of Robert
Rapier
< no role > lying dead in the said Parish Liberty and
County.

William Street< no role > a Laborer on his Oath saith that on
Thursday last (Octr. 1) he this Dept. was at work with
others in carrying Targets out of a Loaded Vessel called
a Faggot hoy , at Mr. Sibyl's what upon mill Bank in
the Parish of St. John the Evangelist Westmr. Asys that he
saw the Deced Robert Rapier< no role > on Board the said Hoy
several times that day, and that he was in the Gang was on Board
when he and his Partner took their last Loads out off their Hay
and when he returned, being about six o'Clock in the
Evening, he heard somebody cry out that something had
fallen into the water. Says that he looked into the Water
and saw the Deced. as he believes, drive under a Boy
then Floating upon the River Thames , near to the said [..]
and Dept. believes that he accidentally fell in, and
was Drowned Says that the Body of the Deced was
found [..] Drowned at Mr. Bradley's wharfiathe River Thame
at a little Distance from the Place where the Deced fell into the
River.

Thomas Sibyl< no role > of Mill Bank Street in the parish of St. John
the Evangelist Westmr. Coal Merchant on his Oath saith that
on Thursday last (Oct. 6) in the afternoon he was on Board
one of his Vessels at his whatf, and heard somebody cry on
to the Deced, who was then on Board a Faggot Hoy at the
wharf, to take care of his Boat. which was by the side of
the hoy, upon which the Deced went off the side of the Hey in
order to Step into the Boat. Says that he could not [..]
Deced Step into the Board on fell into the Thomes the [..]
