Informations Taken this First day of October
1772 at the Parish of St. George Hanover Square
within the Liberty of Westmr . in the County of
Midsex upon an Inquisition touching the death
of Sophia Bingner< no role > lying dead in the said Parish
Liberty and County.

Ann Harris< no role > a Lodger at Mr Frederick Bingner< no role > Husband of
the Deced in the Haymarket in the parish of St. James
Westmr . upon the First Floor on her Oath saith That
on Friday last (Sepr. 25) about Seven o'Clock in
the Evening she saw the Deced Sophia Bingner in
the Fore Parlour in her own Housevery much
in Liquor as she Fequently had seen her before
Says that she went out and left the Deced along in the
Parlour, Says that she returned home about Nine
o'Clock and found the Deced lying down in the Passage
and that she assisted, a Lad to lift up the Deced
and then put her into a Chair in the Parlour, Says
that she staid the about three Minutes, and then followedwent
out withthe Lad out Says that the Deced got up out of
the Chair and with a Candle light this Dept. to the
Street Door Says that she came home again about
Ten o'Clock, opened the Street Door which was not
locked, and when in the Passage , smelt a Fire,
and soon observed a great light in the Deced's
Bedchamber on the Ground Floor, upon which she
spoke to Sarah Peirson< no role > who was washing in the
Kitchin, and alarmed some of the Neighbours who
come in and went into the Bedchamber but Dept.
did not go in, at that time, but saw her afterwards.
that Night laid upon her Bed, when her face and
hands were very much burnt. And Dept. believes
that she Deced was Accidentally burnt
