each of them Drank some, and the Deced then took the Glass out
of the Deponents [..] hand and drank what was remaining in the
Glass, the Deponent was then called away by his Mistress who
lives the next Door, and in about 10 Minutes after Deponent
Saw deced laying down at Mr. Wettenhalls Door, Says that one
Mrs. Tyley who lodges at Mr Burgess's, Edward Burdon< no role > and
Deponent helped the Deceased home being very much intoxicated in
Liquor, which was about Nine o'Clock, Deponent thinks the
Deceased when she drank the first Glass was not quite Sober

Edward Burdon< no role > Apprentice to his Father Thomas Burden< no role > in
Crown Court Westmr, on his Oath says, that on Monday night
last between 8 and 9 o'Clock, he was standing at Mr. Burgess's
Door in Charles Street , the Deced came up to Deponent, and Mrs
Burgess and her Apprentice, and asked Deponent if he would give
her a Glass of Gin, Deponent answered he would give her one
or two if she would drink it, the Deceased appeared to Deponent
in his Opinion to be Sober, Deced went into Mr. Wetenhalls &
Deponent followed and Mr. Burgess's Apprentice , a Glass of
