by which the Deced was Hanging, and laid the
Deced down upon the Floor, says that he felt the
Deced, who was not Cold, but Dept. Observed no Signs
of Life in him, Says that Mr. Hatch the Apothecary
was fetched, who did not bleed the Deced saying that
it was too late. Says that Mrs. Hudson cryed, and
appeared to be very uneasy and surprized. And
this Dept. says that no Person can go into the
Deced's Apartment any way but thro the Door which he
the Dept. opened as above mentioned. And says
that he never observed the Deced to be Disordered
in his Mind.

Samuel Webb< no role > Corter to his Grace the Duke
of Newcastle, on his Oath saith, That he has
known the Deced Ten or Twelve Years last past, who
has belonged to the Duke's Family some Years and
used to be frequently there, says that he observed
that the Deced appeared to be uneasy in his
Mind at times for about a Mouth last and behaved in
a different manner from what he used to do
and spoke but little, and Dept. says that he
believes the Deced to be at times Disordered
in his Senses.

John Woodall< no role > Joynes [..] on his Oath saith
that he has worked for the Duke of New castle
about fifteen Years, constantly, that he has
known the Deced the greatest part of that time
and after lay with him there, the Deced being
then in the Family, Says that the Deced was
Discharged from the Duke's Service about two
Years ago, and that he observed the Deced to be

at times low Spirited and in a Melancholy
way over since, Says that he Dined with
Dept. last Saturday, and that the Deced's looks
were Wild, and Confused, and fetched deep
Sighs and appeared to be in Trouble.

Elizabeth< no role > wife of Daniel Hudson< no role > the Deced
on her Oath saith That she lodged with the Deced
at Mr. James in Union Street Westmr . That the
Deced got up yesterday Morning between Six
and Seven o'Clock walked around the Room
and appeared to be disturbed in his Mind, says
that she prevailed with him to come into Bed
again, where he lay about half an hour and
then got up and walked about the Room, much
disturbed, says that he asked for the Keys
of his Apartment near Westmr. Hall (being the
old Court House) which she gave him, and Deced
said that he would go to put up his Cloaths there
and accordingly went out, Says that she soon
got up, went out upon an Evrard and about
Eight o'Clock Dept. went to the Door of their Apartment
near Westmr. Hall , where she called several time
and had no answer, and finding the Door Locked
and the Key in the Lock on the inside she went
to Alice's Coffee house and took the Servant there
with her to the Door of her Room, says that the
Man by some means got the key from the inside
of the Door and unlocked the Door, upon which
Dept. went in and in a Corner of the Room saw
the Deced Hanging, upon which she cryed out
