Richard Frapwell< no role > a Labourer on his Oath saith, that
on Saturday last about three o'Clock in the Afternoon
Dept. was digging some Ground by the side of the River
a little above Chelsea Bridge, when he saw the Deced
walking, Slowly backwards and forwards upon the Bank between
the Cuts of the River, between Chelsea Bridge and the Fire
Engine in a very pensive manner, that the Deced some
times stood still and when Dept. looked at him deced walked
forwards, Says that about four o'Clock he heard a [..]
in the Water near the place where the Deced was walking
That he rowed a Boat to the Deced as fast as he could
and found him in the River upon his Back with his
Hat upon his Head, the River in that part being three
or four Yards deep, Says that he pulled the Deced out
of the Water and laid him on the Shore with his face
downwards, says that he was bled by Mr. North but
that he appeared to be dead. Says that he believes
that the Deced threw himself into the River wherein
he was Drowned.
