Informations taken this Fifth day of Nov.
1771 at the Parish of St. Martin in the Fields
within the Liberty of Westmr . in the County of Mids [..]
upon an Inquisition touching the Death of William Gill< no role >
lying dead in the said Parish Liberty and County.

Edward Franklin< no role > a Lodger at Mr. Hubbard the Sign of the
Anchor and Vine at Charing Cross on his Oath saith, That he
being a Bricklayerledgedwas at work on Saturday last (Novr. 2d.)
about two o'Clock in the Afternoon, at the Invalid Office Scotland
Yard in the Parish of St. Martin in the Fields , Says that he
was at work on the inside of a window in a two pair of
Stairs Room backwards looking into Scotland Yard when he saw William Gill< no role > the Deced
who was a Laborer, going up a Ladder reared against the
Building, and carrying a pan of water in his Hands that
he was got a little higher upon the Ladder than the Deptr
but Depedt. saw his Feat, when he observed the Deced
falling down off The Ladder unto the Ground, Says that
he came down immediately and saw the Deced lying down
on his side upon the Ground motionless and Speechless
Says that he saw a Hole in the Deced's fore head on the
rightside and [..] the Brams lying on the Ground by the Deced
Says that the Deced died immediately, Says that there was
no Person upon the Ladder but the Deced when he fell, and
believes that his fall was merely accidentals
