to wit.

An Inquisition Indented, taken for our Sovereign Lord the
King, at the Parish of St. Martin in the Fields
within the Liberty of the Dean and Chapter of the Collegiate Church of St. Peter, Westminster ,
in the County of Middlesex , the Fifth Day of November in the Twelfth Year
of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord GEORGE the Third, by the Grace of God, of Great-Britain,
France and Ireland, King, Defender of the Faith, and so forth, before Thomas Prickard< no role > , Gentleman,
Coroner of our said Lord the King for the said City and Liberty, on View of the Body of
William Gill< no role > then and there lying dead, upon the Oath of Adam
Brown
< no role > , Thomas Barrett< no role > Thomas Burke< no role > John Jenkinson< no role > James Hartley< no role > ,
Samuel Greenfield< no role > , Joseph Bevan< no role > , Thomas Clayton< no role > , James Baxter< no role > , James Fox< no role > ,
John Pulsford< no role > and Benjamin Forkington< no role > good and lawful Men of the said Liberty, duly
chosen, who being then and there duly sworn and charged to enquire for our said Lord the
King, when, how, and by what Means the said William Gill< no role > came to
h is Death, do upon their Oath say, That the said William Gill< no role > a Bricklayer's
Laborer on the Second day of November in the Year aforesaid being at work upon
a Building called the Invalid Office, situate and being in Scotland Yard within
the Parish and County aforesaid, and then and there going up a Ladder on
the outside of the said Building and carrying a large Pan full of Water in
his Hand, It so happened that the said William Gill< no role > did then and there
Accidentally Casually and by Misfortune fall down off and from the said Ladder
at the height of three Stories unto and upon the Ground in Scotland Yard aforesaid, and thereby did then
and there receive one mortal Fracture and Wound in and upon his Forehead,
of which said Wound and Fracture he the said William Gill< no role > then and there
instantly died. And so the Jurors aforesaid upon their Oath aforesaid do say
that the said William Gill< no role > [..] and by the Meaning aforesaid Accidentally
Casually and by Misfortune [..] and not otherwise In Witness
whereof as well the said Coroner as the said Adam Brown< no role > Foreman of the said
Jurors on the behalf of him and the rest of his Fel [..] in their presence,
have to this Inquisition set their Hands and Seals the Day year and
Place above written
