Informations of Witnesses taken the 4th, day of August
1771 , in the Parish of St. George Hanover Square in the said
Liberty at the Dwelling House of Mr. Known
by the Sign of the Chelsea Water works near Chelsea Bridges
Abery Jason. Before Thomas Prickard< no role > gentleman , his
Majestys' Coroner for the Lord City and Liberty, touching
Death of John Dunn< no role > then and there lying Dead
as follows.

Richard Hamilton< no role > Journeyman to Mr. Pryor Basket< no role > near Chelsea Bridge on,
his Oath says that Yesterday about 10 o'Clock in the forenoon he was going to
the water by the sd. Bridge to fill a Kittle he discovered the Deced lying in the water with his
face downward and his Body partly covered with water, the Deced had his
Cloathes on, Deponent [..] went and called his wife and they pulled him out
of the water, and found him quite Dead.

Anthony Try< no role > of St. Margaret Westminster Undertaker on his Oath says
that he know the Deced, that his Name was John Dunn< no role > , and that he has
head that the Deced has for 2 or 3 Months last been Melancholly.

Herbert Cole< no role > Servant to Mr. Curtis the Queens head at the Neal Horses, says
that he was at his Masters House on Saturday Night last from about 9 to 11
and had a Paint of Ale, Deponent observed that the Deced as he thought was
Melancholly, and that he several times hold his Head on the Table and did not speak
but about calling and passing for his Liquor.
