David Beynon< no role > of Hopkins Street in the Parish of St.
James Perivigmaker on his Oath saith that on Saturday
last (Augt. 25th.) about Seven o' Clock in the Evening Dept.
Stood at his Door and on hearing the cry of Murder he
went into Mr. Clarke's House and was there told that
Mr. Thompson the Deced was Killing herself, Says that he
went into Deced's room, and saw her lying upon the floor
upon her back, Says that he found a Case knife up to the
handle in her Body being almost seven Inches in length,
say, that the wound bled, and that he took the Knife out
of her Stomack, That a Surgeon came there who Dressed
the wound and Deced in about a Quarter of an hour
became Sensible and able to speak, when she said, "Only
"God what have I done, I was going to kill myself but God
"would not, Let me, I was to came back to let you Know
"what a wicked woman I have been, That she had kept
"Company with a Man for four years and had ruined
"herself and her Children, That she had good Friends but
"had made bad an of them. Says that the Deced then
"told Swin that before she committed the Act she laid
"herself down upon the [..] , that a Cloud came ever her
"Dyes, and that she was as insensible as if she had been
"dead", Says that he saw the Deced afterwards and that
he carried her down Stairs last Tuesday and put her
into a Chair, in which she was carried to the Infirmary
or workhouse in said Parish, as Dept. was informed,
that he saw her on Wednesday in said Infirmary
about one o' Clock, when she appeared to be lying, and
Dept. was informed that she died there about six o Clock
that afternoon, And Dept. Verily believes that Deced
was at times Disordered in her Senses for about nine
days before she gave herself the wound.

St. James Parish Westmr . on his Oath with that the
Deced Mary Thompson< no role > , was brought to said Infirmary on Tuesday
last Says that he Examined the Deced on Wednesday
Morning and found a large wound below the Breast [..]
upward of three Inches in length, and appearing to
Dept. to be very deep, says that Deced was then roving
saying I am a whose, and appearing to Dept. to be out
of her Senses, Says that she died there that Night, and
that he believes the wound abovementioned to be the
ensure of her Death.
