Informations taken this Thirty first day of
August 1770 at the Parish of St James within
the Liberty of westmr . in the County of Midsex
upon on Inquisition touching in Death of Mary
Thompson
< no role > lying dead in the said Parish Liberty
and County.

Mary Clarke< no role > wife of Andrew Clarke< no role > of Cock-Court in
the Parish of St. James Westmr . Harpsichord maker on her
Oath with, that Mary Thompson< no role > the Deced has lodged with
their Dept. in a two pair of Stains Room forwards, aboutalport four
years last past, says that the Deced, has had a Tever
for about nine days before last saturday, and was
confined to her Room during [..] that him and often to her
Bed. Says that the Deced grew very weak, and last
Saturday Morning some down Stairs into Depts. room
on the Ground Floor, and complained that her Disorder
lay in her Head, and appeared to be in great pair
Says, that the Deced coure down Staris again about half
an hour ofter five o Clock that Afternoon and took in
some Milk, but Dept. had very little lath with her
then, and Deced went upstairs, says that about
Seven o clock the same Evening Dept. heard a [..]
Percen's voice crying out above Stairs, upon which
Dept. went into Deced's room, which was not Locked, and
saw the Deced lying on her Bark upon the Floor, who
appeared to Dept to be dead, Says that she soon after
observed the handle of a Case Knife upon the Deced's
Stomach, and found that the Blade of it was in the Deced
Body, says that Mr. Hitchman another lodger and
several other people soon came into the Born, and Dept [..]
[..] Mr. Beynon take the Knife out of the Deced's
Body which was in to the Handle, Says that she
verily behaves that the Deced killed herself, and
that by the violence of her Fever, the Deced was
become Disordered in her service
