Informations of Witnesses taken this 25th. day of
August 1770 in the Parish of St. George Hanover
Square in the Liberty of Westminster at the Dwelling
House of Mr. William Patterson< no role > the Sign of the Spread
Eagle at the Neat Houses, Before Thomas Prickard< no role >
Gentleman His Majestys' Coroner for the City & Liberty
of Westminster , touching the Death of Daniel Caddy< no role >
then and there lying Dead as follow

Robert Skarratt< no role > Apprentice to Mr. John Slade< no role > of Chelsea in
Middx Apothecary on his Oath says that on Tuesday Evening the
21st. day of August instant between 7 & 8 o'Clock as he was Bathing
in the River Thames opposite the Swan at Chelsea, he saw the
Deced go into the Water, and in about to Minutes after he thought
he saw the Deceds Laid Just above Water, Deponent immediately
Sworn towards him where he thought he was but did not find him
Deponent then went and dressed himself and got waterman and
Boats to endeavour to find him, but after trying for an Hour
and a half, they did not find the Deced. Deponent has seen the
Deced since his being formed which was this Morning and is certain
he is the same Person
