That between nine and ten o'Clock this Morning
Dept. went into Deced's room as usual and found
him dead in Bed, and immediately acquainted Mr.
Watson and the Porter therewith, And this Dept.
says that she did not see any Watch in the Deced's
Custody service he came to lodge in Mr. Watson's House

John Grantham< no role > of Wardour Street St. Anns Carpenter
on his Oath saith that by the desire of Mr. Watson
he went this Morning to Enquire for Mr. Nelson
the Deced's widow and found her at Mr. Stone's in
Abel Buildings Rosemary Lane , That on Acquainting
her with the Death of her Husband, She Said, "Thank
"God, the most agreeable News I had for Seven Years",
"and said that he had not been at house since last
"Tuesday Morning (May 1st.) and that she had not seen
him since".

Morris Connell< no role > Surgeon at Mr. Douglas in
the Strand on his Oath said That he this day Examined
the Body of the Deced and found a Superficial wound
on the left Temple which was not the cause of the
Deced's Death, but Dept. believes that the Deced
was Suffocated from the Position in which he found
him.
