Informations taken this 30th. day of Septr.
1769 at the Parish of St. George Hanr. Square
within the Liberty of Westmr. in the County of
Middlesex upon an Inquisition touching the
Death of Elizabeth< no role > the Wife of Caleb Atkinson< no role >
lying dead in the said Parish Liberty and County

Benjamin Bell< no role > Periwigmaker Servant to Mrs. Collins
in David Street on his Oath saith That he was alarmed on
Friday Morning (29th. Sept) by same Persons in the
Street crying out Fire, upon which he went out
and saw Mr. Caleb Atkinson< no role > 's House in the same Street
on Fire, Says that he saw a Person come out
of a Window in Mr. Atkinson's House and fall upon
the Ground, and that in about five Minutes or less
he saw Mrs. Atkinson the Deced throw herself
out of one of the windows of said House, but Dept
is not sure whether it was on the First or Second
Floor, the Smoak, & [..] being so great, Says, that she fell
down on the Ground in David Street, and there
lay unable to move, and was carried by two
Men into a Publick House where she desired them
not to hurt her, Says that the Deced's face was
very Bloody, and that she appeared to be much
Bruised.

Paul Turner< no role > of little Grosvenor Street on his
Oath saith that he saw the Deced yesterday Morning
at a Publick House in David Street soon after the
Accident happened to her, That she appeared to be
very much Bruised [..] and Burent
and that she died there about four o'Clock the
same Morning.
