Informations taken this Fourth day of
April 1768 . at the Parish of St. Margaret Within
the City & Liberty of Westmr in the County of
Middlesex on an Inquisition touching the Death
of John Martin< no role > lying dead in the said Parish
City Liberty and County.

Joseph Armitage< no role > of Tothill Fields in the Parish of St. John the
Evangelist Westmr. Tanner on his Oath saith, That John Martin< no role >
the Deced had worked for Dept. about Twenty Years,large thorb
he orderedthe orderedthe Deced on Wednesday last to go above
Noon to go and fetch half a hundred of Lime from the House
Herry Westmr. Says tha the Deced put a Horse into a Cart and
was driving him out of this Dept. Yard, the Deced being riding
in the Seat in the Cart, Says that the House trotted out of the
Yard, which frighted the Deced, and that the Shipped down out of the
Cart to the Ground, Says that the Deced immediately
after told Dept. that he was numbed and believed that the
Wheel of the Cart had gone over him, Says that the Deced
was soon after sent to the Westmr. Hospital as Dept. was
informed. And this Dept. says tha the House and Cart
that the Deced was driving were the Property of this Dept.
