Ann Harrison< no role > (the Wife of James Harrison< no role > of the House Ferry
Road in the Parish of St. John the Evangelist Westmr. Carter) on
her Oath saith, that the Deced and her Husband were Lodgers
in the same House with this Dept. on the Ground Floor, Says
that she had been out on Sunday the Thirteenth day of Sepr.
last and came home about a Quarter ofter Nine o'Clock
that Morning, Says that between Ten and Eleven o'Clock
on some Dirt being thrown out of a Window the Deced
called out, and Sarah Smith< no role > and Mary Smith< no role > , Daughters
of Smith, who are all Lodgers in a Room one pair
of Stairs in said House, thereupon Abused the Deced, Says
that she heard the Deced run up part of the Stairs and returned
in about half a Minute, her Cloaths being very Wet and
a great Quantity of Water running down Stairs, Says
that the Deced, and Sarah Smith< no role > and her Mother,
Afterwards abused each other for almost half an hour, the
Deced being below Stairs and said Smiths in their Room above,
Says that the Deced again went up Stairs in a great
Passion towards Mrs. Smiths Room having nothing in
her hands, Says that she heard Mrs. Smith say, being on the
top of the Stairs as Dept. believes [..] you for a Bitch
if you come here I will kill you, and immediately after
Dept. heard a Noise upon the Stairs, and several pieces of
a Broken Earthen Pitcher tumbling down Stairs, Says that
the Deced came down instantlycame downwith a Cut
over her Eye which bled very much, Saying to Dept.
look how Mr. Smith has served me, Says that the Deced
used to be in Liquor sometimes, but that she was Sober
that day.

William Salmon< no role > at the Bricklayers Arms Strutton
Ground Victualler on his Oath saith, That on the 13th. Septr.
last about one o'Clock he this Dept. went to Mr. Harrison's
House in the Horse Henry Road, Says that then Deced, and
Mrs. Smith (as this Dept. believes) were Scolding, and abusing
each other very much, each of them being in their own
Rooms, Says that he saw the Deced going up Stairs in a
Passion with a Hand Brush in her Hand Says that
he heard the Deced & Mrs. Smith (as Dept. believes) hath upon the top of the Stairs & saw several pieces of a broken Pitcher humble down
Stairs immediately after, and in about half a Minute the
Deced came down Stairs, having a Cut in her Forehead
which bled very much, Says that the Deced putting her
Hand to her Forehead Saying to Ann Harrison< no role > see how
I am used, Says that the Deced was very much given
to drinking and frequently fuddled and very abusive And this Dept. says
that he believes the Deced went up Stairs with the Brush
in her Hand with an intention to Fight withthe Deced
Mrs. Smith.

George Harrison< no role > of the Horse Ferry Road Westmr. Husband
to the Deced on his Oath saith, That the Deced was very
much given to Drinking, And that she got Fuddled several
times, during the time that she was at home between her
being put out of the Westmr. Hospital and the time of her
being readmitted, "Says that Mrs. Smith the Wife of James
Smith
< no role > a Lodger in the House with Dept., Said to Dept. on
the 20th. Septr. that the Deced had abused her, and followed
her upstairs, and that the Pitcher fell out of her Hand
upon the Deced's Head and gave her the Wound on the
Forehead . And this Dept. says that he does not believe
that Mrs. Smith had any intention to kill the Deced.
