Patrick, Cunningham< no role > a Chairman on his Oath
saith That he Spent Yesterday Evening at the Lion
and Goatin St. James's Street , and that Mr. Gray the Deced
was there about her Business Says that a little before
Eleven o'Clock, he missed the Deced out of the Taproon
and that in about a Quarter of an hour after, Mr.
Gray being in the Tap room, went out, and in about
two Minutes he cryed out hath being in his Bed Chamber
on the First Floor, says that he went up and saw
Mr. Gray in the Room who appeared to be very much
frightened, and the Deced lying on the floor, Says
that Mr. Gray ordered this Dept. to go for a Doctor, upon
which he immediatley unknown Stairs, and then
heard Mr. Gray cry out Murder, Says that Mr.
Hussey an apothecary came with this Dept. to Deced
and attempted labelled her in the Arm but she did
not then bleed, but had afterwards upon which Mc. Hussey said that she
was dead, and she apppeared to Dept. to be Dead
says that there was some disagreement between
the Deced and her Husband last night and Deced
afterwards said that she had better be hanged than
lead that life, or words to that effect, and that the
Deced appeared to Dept. not to be in her Sences

William Hussey< no role > of Berry Street Apocathecary on
his Oath saith, That he was fitched to Mr. Gray the
Deced last Night about a Quarter after Eleven o'Clock
Says that he found her lyingon the Floor and attempted
to bleed her in the Arm but she bled very little, and
was then dead, Says that soon after he was the Mark
of a Cord around the Deced's Neck, and some Person
found a piece of Cord upon the Floor with a Noose at one
End of it, Says that he observed a brass Hock Fixed
in the Wainscot and a Piece of Cord fastened to it, Say
that the Cord found on the Floor appeared to be the same
as that fastened to the Hook, and Dept. believes that the
Deced was hanged by that Cord
