Informations taken this Twenty fifth day of
April 1766 at the Parish of St. Margaret within
the City and Liberty of Westminster in the County
of Middlesex on an Inquisition touching the Death
of Elizabeth Guy< no role > lying Dead in the said Parish City
Liberty and County.

Catherine (Hart< no role > Wife of William Hart< no role > ,) a Lodger with John
Medley
< no role > in Great Peter Street in the Parish of St. John the Evangelist Wastin
on her Oath saith, That Elizabeth Guy< no role > the Deced has been a
Ledger in the same House with Dept. about twelve months last
post, and that Robert Francis< no role > a Shoemaker has lived and
Cohabited with Deced there for the last six months, Says
that the Deced and said Robert Francis< no role > were after Intexided
with Liquor, that they then frequently Quarralled and fought
that the Deced was very Passionate. Says that she had been
out upon a Sunday about five weeks ago and returned
home in the Evening, was informed by the Maid Servant at
the Bull's Head in Peter Street that she had been up to the
Deced and Robert Francis< no role > with a quarter of Gin, that one of
them was Bleeding and that the other lay upon the Floor
Says that the Deced came down he next day and informed
Dept. that she had reced to Wounds from Robert Francis< no role > with
a piece of that Iron which Deced produced, and appeared to be
about a quarter of a Yard long, and like the handle of a
frying Pan, Says that the Deced sold the Iron to a Neighbour
for a halfpenny, and that she this Dept. did not see the
Deced Wounds, Says that the Deced told Dept. that she was
several days to the Westmr. Infirmary and borrowed a Clock
of Dept. to wear thither, and when Deced returned from the
Infirmary she informed Dept. that her wounds had been
dressed there, Says that during that time the Deced went
about her Business, and after her return has said to Dept.
that her Head smarted in Dressing, and that she believed Robert
Francis
< no role > had given her his last blow. Says that the Deced afternoon
used to get drunk, and then appeared like a Mad Woman, Say
that she continued, pretty much in the same State of Health
until Monday last, when she was sent (as Dept. was informed)
