Thomas Baily< no role > a Lodger at the Sign of the Union
Arms in Ponton Street in the Parish of St. Martin in the
Fields Perukemaker on his Oath saith, that he was
this Morning between nine and ten o'Clock standing in
Oxendon Street , when he saw a Carman driving a Cart
Loaden with Coals drawn by three Forth out of Ponton Street into Oxendon
Street in the said parish, says that the Deced was at the
same time going across Oxendon Street, says that he
saw the Deced fall down (but did not see any of the
Horses touch her,) and that one of the Wheels of said last
did go over the Deced's Head, Says that the Deced lay
upon the Ground in the Street, but Dept. did not go
near her, and this Dept further saith that the said
Carman used his utmost Endeavours to stop his Horses.

William Nibbs< no role > of Oxendon Street Labourer on his
Oath saith that he was standing this Morning by the
Union Arms in Oxendon Street, when a Carter was
driving a Cart loaden with Coals and drawn by three
Horses, along Panton Street , and turning into Oxendon
Street , Says that the Deced was crossing Oxendon Street
at the same time and standing about Middle of the
Street, says that the Driver of the Cart called to Deced
"Have a Care good woman," says that the Deced turned
back, and fell down in the Street, on the Off side of the
Horses: and that the off wheel of said Cart did go and pass
over the Right side of the Deced's Body and Head,
Says that the Deced lay aterwards in the Street speechless
and motionless, and died immediately, and Dept. believes
that the wheel going over Deced was he came of her Death
says that the Driver of said Cart did every thing in his power
to stop the Horses before the Wheel went over the Deced, and
says that the Driver was on the rightside of the Horses.

John Biss< no role > of Maiden Lane undertaken on his
Oath saith That this Morning between Eleven and Twelve
o'Clock William Hommerton< no role > came to Deponent, and with
real concern informed Dept that in Driving Mr. Forsyth
his Master's Cart loaden with Coals this Morning, and
woman was killed by one of the wheels of the Cart in
Oxendon Street , and this Dept. says that the Cart and
Horses were the Property of Mr. Forsyth Coal Merchant
in Durham Yard .
