Informations taken this Fifteenth day of
January 1766 at the Parish of St George
Honover Square within the Liberty of Westmr
in the County of Middlesex
on an inquisition
touching the Death of a New born Male Child
lying Dead in the said Parish Liberty and
County.

aged about twelve years
son of Thomas Brooks< no role >
of providence Court Bricklayer
on his Oath saith, that between twelve and one o'Clock yesterday
Deponent was going along Vigo Lane in the Parish of St.
George Hanover Square
when he saw or Wig Box lying in
the area belonging to St. William Howley< no role >
's House and tied
with a piece of Cord, Dept. says that he called to his Mother
(who was looking after Sir William Rowley< no role >
's House) saying
that he had found a Priza, upon which Depts. Mother said
that she would have half, Dept. says that he went into
the area and looked in at the Corner of the Wig Box
and found or Child therein, says that he acquainted
his Father and Mother therewith,upon which Depts.
Father wont to fetchsays & not Beadle belonging to the Parish
of St. James
whocame there, and brought the Wig box
with the Child in it, into St. William Rowley< no role >
's House, say
that the Child was then Dead, and Deponent observed no
Marks of Violence upon the said Child. Says that he
afterwards fetched Mr. Renyson one of the Beadles
of St. George's Parish
who came there, took away
the Child in the Wig Box.

, attending the lying in Ward, on her Oath
saith, that she this day Examined a Male Child and belives
that the said Male Child was born alive, Says that the
Navel String of the said Male Child was not tied nor
any care taken for the preservation of the said Male Child
