Informations taken this Third day of
January 1766 at the Parish of St. George Hanover
Square within the Liberty of Westmr. in the County
of Middlesex on an Inquisition touching the Death
of Thomas Bull< no role > lying Dead in the said Parish
Liberty and County.

Mary York< no role > the Wife of Robert York< no role > Gentleman , lodging with
Mrs. Ester Lowther< no role > in Knightsbridge Road in the Parish of St
George Hanover Square on her Oath saith, that on the Twenty
seventh day of December last about Eight o'Clock in the Evening
Dept. was in the Dining Room of Mrs. Lowthers House and on
hearing a Noise opened the Shutters of one of the Windows and
saw four Men in the Court before the House, Says that one of
the Men had a Stick in his Hand, and Dept. thought that they
were playing, Says that she went to the Fireside, but on
hearing a louder Noise in the Court, Dept. went into another
Room and looking thro' a Sash Window, saw one of the Men
lift up a Stick and follow another Man toward the House door
and saw the Man fall down upon the Stone Steps before the
but Dept. did not see any stroke given, Says that two Men
Immediately run out of the Court, laughing, but Dept. can not
say who they are, Says that she was then informed by
Elizabeth Davies< no role > a Maid Servant in the House that Thomas informed Dept.
Bull lay Bleeding to Death in the Court, but Dept. did not go
down Stairs.

Richard Jarvis< no role > House Surgeon at St. George's Hospital on his
Oath saith, that on the Twenty seventh day of December last about
Eight o'Clock in the Evening the Deced was brought to said Hospital,
Says that he Examined the Deced and found a wound and Fracture on the left
side of Deced's Head, and a small Wound on the top of Deced's Head
Says that Mr. Branfield the Surgeon was sent for and Dressed Deced
Head that Night, and afterwards took proper care of him, but Deced.
died yesterday Morning, Says that the Deced's Head was opened
this Morning by Mr. Bromfield in Deponent's pretence, [..]
clearly appeared to Dept. that the Fracture abovementioned [..]
the Cause of Deced's Death.
