Informations taken this Eleventh day of
September 1765 at the Parish of St.James within
the Liberty of Westmr. in the County of Middlesex on an
Inquisition taken on View of the Body of Andrew
Gowen

Jane Skeates< no role > Daughter of Jane Skeates< no role > of little Crown County
in the Parish of St.James on her Oath saith That she was in
her said Mothers [..] in said Court yesterday afternoon about
five O'clock when she heard. Mr.Walker cry out the Man
is killed, upon which Dept. looked out and saw the Deced
Falling down off a House on the other side of said Court,
nearly opposites to the Dept. Says that the Deced had a
piece of the Window in his Hand, and was even with
the first floor when Dept. first saw him, Says that the
Deced fell upon his Head upon the Stone Pavement
in said Court, This Dept. says that she came to Deced
immediately and saw a great deal of Blood issue
from the Deced & Head, Says that the Deced was
Speech less and not able to [..] move, and died in about
five Minutes after,as Dept.believes,Says that she
saw no Person in the Room in the House from which
the Deced fell down.

in Mr.Simpson's House on the Selded Holder in little Crown Court on her Oath Saith, that
the Deced was Painting about the Window of the Room in
which Dept. Lodged, being two Stories high,Says that she left
the Deced on the outside of the Window Painting when she
this Dept. was called by Ann Benson< no role > into their Room on
the first floor, Says that she had not been there above
five Minutes, before she saw the Deced falling down with
his Head foremost even with the Window on the First floor
Where Deced was, and that a piece of the Window was
coming down at the same time, Says that the Deced fell down
upon the Stone Pavement in the said Court, upon which Dept.
skeamed out and came down to Deced immediately, and
saw him Bleed out of the Head very much,and that he was
