Informations Taken this Twenty Eighth
day of August 1765 at the Parish of St. George
Hanover Square within the Liberty of Westmr.
in the County of Middlesex on a Inquistion
to her of Vict of the Body of Joseph Barnett< no role >
lying dead in the Parish Liberty and Court
aforesaid

William Jones< no role > a Bricklayer Lodging at the Sign of the Cock and Bottle
in Upper Brook Street in the Parish of St. George Hanover
Square on his Oath saith That he was yesterday repairing the Tiling on
the Top of the House of Carew Harvey Mildmay< no role > Esqr. situate
in Grovenor Street in the Parish of St. George Hanover
Square , and that Joseph Barnett< no role > was likewise there at
work as Labourer to this Dept. Says that about two o'Clock
yesterday afternoon Dept. ordered the Deced to clean a
Gritter on the back part of said Mr. Malo [..] House Says
that which Deced was cleaning the Gutter he Said, Lord
if I [..] foll down here Jona dash my Brains out,
Says thatto which Dept. replied for Gods take care
Says that in about two minutes after Dept. looked round
and saw Deced Slip off the Parapet wall in the back front of said [..] upon which he
the Deced catched hold of a Stone which was part of
the Coping upon the Parapet wall, with both his hands,
Says that the Stone Coping being Look Dept. pulled it down
and Deced fell down upon a Stone pavement in the
Yard on the back part of the said House, Dept says that he
came down immediately and found the Deced upon the
pound speechless Says that he saw a large wound on the [..]
leftside of Deced's Head which bled very much, and that
the Deced bled at the Month, Says that a Person
immediately attamped to blead the Deced but he did not
bleed, and Depont. believes that the Deced was then Dead
and says that his Death was caused by the Wounds & Bemly which
the Deced reced by the fall aforesaid Says that no parse [..]
was near the Deced when he fall.
