Informations taken this Fourth day of April 1765
at the Parish of St. George Hanover Square within
the Liberty of Westmr. in the County of Middlesex
on an Inquisition taken on View of the Body of
William Bold< no role > lying Dead in the said Parish
Liberty and County.

James Scrachley< no role > Servant to Mrs. Anne Booth< no role > by in Upper
Grosvenor Street in the Parish of St. George Hanover Square
in the Capacity of Footman on his Oath saith. That William
Bold
< no role > the Deced was Coachman to Mr. Booth be Son said Mrs. Boothby and that
Dept. saw him in Mrs. Booth bys House about six o'Clock on
Tuesday Evening last and asked him how he did after his
Journey, (Deced having been out of Town that day) to which
Deced answered pretty well, Says that he asked Deced if
he would have any Dinner to which he answered No, and said
that he would go and take care of his Horse, and then return,
Deponent says that Deced went away, and not coming in
as usual to go to Bed, Dept. and Isaac Anson< no role > his fellow
Servant between twelve and one oClock yesterday Morning
went into Mrs. Boothby's Stable adjourned to the House to [..]
for Deced, and not seeing him in the Stable Dept. went up the
Stairs leading into the Hayloft, Says that when he saw on
the top of the Stairs Dept. discovered Deced hanging in the Hay lost
Says that he was frightened and went back into the House
immediately, and acquainted some of the Family therewitt,
Says that Mr. Robert Bailey< no role > went directly with the Dept. to
the Deced and that they found the Deced hanging by a small
Cord fastened round a Beam in the Hayloft and about
the Deced's Neck, Says that Mr. Bailey out the Cord and Deced
fell down upon the Floor, Says that he then felt the Deced
and found him Cold and Stiff, and believes that he had been
Dead some time, and that he hanged himself, Dept. says
that the Deced was of a Chearfull Disposition and sometimes
used to be in Liquor.
