Information taken this Twenty fourth day of
August 1764 at the Parish of St. John the Evangelist
within the City and Liberty of Westmr. in the County
of Middlesex on an Inquisition taken on he is of
the Body of Sarah Flood< no role > lying Dead in the said
Parish City Liberty and Court

William Summers< no role > Labour Lodging in the Collar of a
Hour belonging to John Medley< no role > situate in Shorton Ground
in the Parish of St. John the Evangelist westmr. on his Oath saith That
he was at Mr. Medley's House us Pea [..] Street drinking yesterday Evening
between ten and eleven O' Clock, says that whilst he was
there Mr. Medley's Jon and other Persons come in there and
informed Deponent that a House in Shorton Ground had
fallen down, Says that he immediately went to the Place and found
the back parts of two houses fallen down (one of which being
the House wherein Dept. lodged) Says that he heard the
Deced cry out in the Rubbish, whereupon the Dept. several an
other Persons worked in removing the Rubbish in says [..] the
they [..] could see the Deced in the Rubbish between two
Joysts, her face being downwards, Says that they after working
some time longer got the Deced out, and that she was then
Dead as Deponent believes, Says that Mr. Purdeau a
Surgeon came there and let the Deced blood in the Neck
and Deced bled freely, but Deponent observed no Signs of
Life in the Deced, and Deponent believes that the Deced
was Smothered with the Rubbish lying upon her.
