Informations of Witnesses touching the Death of
William Clark< no role > lying Dead in the Parish of St.
Martin in the fields in the County of Westminster

Matthew Robinson< no role > of St. Martin in the fields Carpenter and former on his
Oath saith That yesterday morning between Ten & Eleven o' Clockin their
forenoon
he with the deceased went to Bathe themselves in the
River Thames at a wherf near Hungerford Stairs and went so far
into the River till they were as high as their Clern when by the
violence of the Tide the deced was involuntary carried out of his
Depth, and perceiving himself in danger of being Drowned Called
out to the Deponent for Assistance that he this Deponent
went forward to help him and said hold of the hair of his Head
hot by the violence of the Side and the deceased Struggles together
with his own weakness occasioned by being under Water frequently
he was through necessary obliged to lot go hold of him; and then
Deceased then soon Lunk

Joseph Sheldon< no role > of St. Martin in the fields Carpenter in his Oaths
saith That yesterday about a quarter before Twelve he being Standing
at his own Door near Shingerford Stains he saw a Man in the
Thames and upon walking down to the Water he observed two
Men in the River and thought by their Actions they were
