Informations of Witnesses taken this 21st. day
of October 1763 on an Inquisition on View of
the Body of William Davy< no role > lying Dead in the
Parish of St. Ann within the Liberty and County
aforesaid.

John Thorn< no role > of Oxford Road in the Parish of St. Mary
-Lebone in the County of Middlesex Soap Boiler on his
Oath saith, That William Davy< no role > the Deced was Servant to
the Deponent in the Capacity of Corman, say that on
Monday last Deced was sent with Deponent Cart and two Horses
loaded with ten Hundred weight and an half of Soap
part of which he was to deliver in George Street Spittal Fields and the other part
in Hollewell Street near Spitall Square in the County of
Middlesex , all of which was delivered by the (as Dept. was informed) Depot.
Says that he met Deced that Afternoon in Lamb Street
Spittal Fields about four o' Clock and gave Deced a first
of Beer, and says that Deced was then very well, Deponent
says that on his return homeaboutbetween nine and
ten o Clock that Evening he was informed by hisDecedWife
that the Deced was Dead, & That she had been informed thereof
by a Servant of Mrs. Hepworth, to whom the Soap was deliverd
in Hollewell Street, and whom brought home the Deponent's
Cart and Horses. Says that the next Day Deponent went
to said Hollewell Street and upon Enquring there was
informedthatby Mrs. Hepworth that on the Day before the
had been a great Number of Sailors Assembled in Norton
Falgate in that Neighbourhood in a very riotous Manner
and that some Soldiers were fetched to disperse the Map
says that the Soldiers were Ordered to Fire, & that they
thereupon did Fire, Deponent says that said Mrs. Hepworth
informed him, that on seeing Deponent Cart's stand, at the
Door on Monday after the Soap was Delivered longer than
usual, she desired her Brother to go and see for Deced
