and Dept. cut the deced down, says that he observed
that the deced was hanged by a Rope passed thro'
a pulley fixed in the Cooling, which went twice
runed the deceds neck, Says that by the deced being
motionless, be apprehended her to be dead. says that
the Door next to Mr. Gascoigne's Chamber was
belted on that side of the Room in which the
deced was and that Dept. opened it in order to
let in Mr. Goscoign's Friend, says he went out of
thatthe Door next the Passage to fetch Mr. Ireland an Apothecary
to bleed the Deced, says he saw Mr. Ireland aftrwds
at Mr Gascoign's Lodgings but did not see the deced
let blood. says that dept. cannot say whether there
was a Key in the Door next the passage or how
it was festned; that Door having been opened before
Dept. went out.

WESTMINSTER CHAPTER MUNIMENTS


Richard Lapper< no role > living in the Opera House in
the Hay Market on his Oath Saith that on a
Report prevailing that the deced had barged herself
dept. followed Thomas Winstow< no role > up a Ladder
which he had reared agt. a Window at the Back Mrs.
of Munday's House, and onMrWinstow's opening
the Window and putting back a Shutter, he said
here she hangs, and he got into the Room directly
and Dept. followed him, and Dept, bid Winstow
immediately got upon the Table and cut the deced
down and Dept. would catch her, which was
accordingly done, says one of her Toes was on a leaf
of the Table, and the other Leg hanging by the Edge of
the Table, says She hanged by a Rope which was
Run thro' a pulley in the Cieling and fastned round her
Neck, says after cutting the deced down they laid her
on the Floor Dept. says he felt the deced, and she
was warm but motionless, says he went to get a
person to let the deced Blood, but who opened the
Door leading to the passage out of which Dept. went
he knows not. and on his return the Gentleman when Dept. went
for had let the deced Blood; and she was then dead.

On his Oath Saith that being in the Court at the
Back of Mrs. Munday's House, and Seeing a Ladder
reared against a Window there Deponent went
up to see what was the Matter, and when Dept.
got into the Room he found there, Richard Lapper< no role >
Mr. Gascoigne the Elder and about 3severalother persons
says the deced was laying on the Ground and Dept.
saw her blooded, says She bled but little, and Dept.
believes she was then dead.

John Garstin< no role > GascoigneLodging at Mrs. Munday's in
Pall Mall one of his Majesty's Messenger's on
his Oath Saith that Yesterday afternoon he cause
inthome about two o' Clock,andhaving invited
Company to dire with him, and on Mr. Clark one
of the Company Coming in, Dept. went thro' his
Bed Chamber in order to go into the Kitchen
by a Door which leads from thence into it, to
give Directions to his Maid, the deced, about
getting the Dinner ready, and found the door bolted
next the Kitchen, upon which he directly went
to the Kitchen Door next the passage, and found that
likewise fastned, says he sent his Son down Stairs
to ask Thomas Mrs. Munday's Servant , whether
he had Seen the deced go out, and he brot. up word
that he knew Nothing of her, that he had been
but little while in the Shop and had not seen her
says that Dept. knocked against both Doors, and
receiving any Answer, Dept. went down himself and
asked said Thomas whether he had not seen her
and desired a Kitchen poker to break open the Door,
that Thomas Carried up & poker & in Depts. presence
endeavoured to break open the Door, but [..] could
not, say that Dept. son RobertGascoigneGarstin< no role > attempted
to break it open, and presently came to Dept. then
in the Dining Room, and desired Dept. to come to the
Bed Chamber Door that led to the Kitchen, informing
Dept. that helbot. he saw deceds Cloaths, say that he
