Informations taken this fifteenth day of June
1763 at the Parish of St. George Hanover Square within
the Liberty of Westminster on an Inquisition taken
on View of the Body of Joseph Parsons< no role > lying Dead
in the said Parish and Liberty.

William Green< no role > of Reeves Mewse, in the Parish of St. George
Hanover Square Victualler on his Oath saith that Yesterday
Morning between Nine and ten o Clock he went into the House
where Deponent lodged in Reeve's Mewse, to enquire for Potts,
says that he opened the deced's Room Door, and on looking
round the deced's room he observed Deced hanging by a Cord
which was fastened over Deced inner room Door, Deponent
says that he did not go to Deced but came down stairs
and acquainted Mr. Aston (who keeps the House) with
what he had seen above Stairs, Upon which Mr. Ashton
& his Maid Servant went up Stairs with Deponent, to the
Deced's Room, where they all saw him hanging, and verily
believes that he was then Dead, but did not touch the Deced
and Deponent immediately quitted the Room, and event
home, Deponent says the Deced has lodged in the same
Lodging about a twelve month, and that he knew Deced
all that time, and verily beleives, from his behaviour,
that he was at Intervals, disordered in his Sences especially when he had been drinking says
that he knows of no Quarrel the Deced had with any
of his Neighbours.

William Wilder< no role > of Upper Brook Street Dairy Man on his
Oath saith that yesterday Morning between nine and ten
o'Clock he was Drinking at William Green< no role > 's in Reeve's
Mewse, when Sd. Green in went to gather in his Pots, says that
Mr. Green returned in five of six Minutes, and informed
Deponent that Mr. Parsons was hanging, say he thereupon
immediately run into the Deced's Apartment and was
followed by the Maid Servant of the House, who lent the
Deponent a pair of Scissars, with which he cut the Cord by
