Deced about an hour, and that she perceived the
Deced had been drooping for two days before
says that she immediately went to Mr. Gilbert a Smith< no role >
who lives the near Door to Deced, and called two Men
Samuel Smith< no role > and another Person whose name she Knows
not, who came with her into the Cellar, and one of them
lifting up the Deced, and the other Cut him down
and both together laid him upon the Bad in the Cellar.
Sayds that Deced was then Dead, but not Cold, says
that a Surgeon was sent for to bleed him, who immediately
came, but the Deced bled very Little, says that she
never heard of any Difference between the Deced.

Elizabeth Burnatt< no role > Servant to Mr. Brown Governour to
St. James's Workhouse on her Oath saith Yesterday Morning
about Eight o Clock she carried a pair of Shoes to Deced
(who was a Cobler ) and on knocking at the Cellar Door,
(where deced lodged) Deced Wife opened it, and on
being asked if her Husband was at home, she replied
that he was, but was afraid that she was Dead, and
desired Deponent would go to call some Assistance,
whereupon she immediately run and called two
other Woman who came down into the Cellar with
where they saw deced stand up right as they thought
Deponent, but they did not go near him, says
that one of the Women called two Men who came
down, and on going to move the Deced to the Bed
they perceived he was hanging, and immediately
cut him down and laid the Deced on the Bed
says that a Surgeon attempted to Bleed him but the
Deced beld a very few Drops only, he being then Dead

Ann Ewbank< no role > the Widow of the Deced on her Oath saith
that on Wednesday Night last, about ten o Clock Deponent
went to Bed with the Deced in their Cellar in the House
of Mr. Beake in Oxford Road where they lodged says that She said did not observe
him get out of Bed until between five and six o' Clock (as
she believes) on Thursday Morning, says that she did not
hear the Deced go out, nor any Noise in the Cellar, says
that between seven & eight o Clock she heard some Person
Knock at the Cellar Door, deponent being then in Bed,
got up and opened the Door, and found a Woman who
brought a pair of Shoes to be Mended, and asking for if deced,
was at home, Deponent replied she could not tell but
desired the Woman to come down, and when Deponent
was got down and sitting upon the Bed, she perceived Deced
in a Corner of the Cellar standing up as she apprehended,
but afterwards suspected that he was Dead, she desired
some body shod. be called, and two Woman immediately
came down, and afterwards two Men were called down
who cut the Cord by which the Deced hung and laid
Deced on the Bed,says that a Surgeon attempted
Says that she observed the Deced to have been Melancholy
over since the beginning of May last, Occasioned as she
believes by a fall that he then reced whereby he broke
Dire of his Bibs, and that for ten days past Deced had
been more Melancholy, says that Deponent and Deced
lived very happy together, and very seldom had any
Difference.
