a Rogue and Vagabond, apprehended in the Parish of
St. Martin in the Fields , within the Liberty of Westmin-
ster, and County of Middlesex , and convicted before me,
one of His Majesty< no role > 's Justices of the Peace for the said
City and Liberty. Taken this 5th Day of January
17 99

Who on h is Oath saith, Thatthe Place of last legal Settle
ment is in the Parish, Place, or Precinct of
being single and
unmarried he was a Yearly hired Servant with William Williams< no role >
Esquire in King [..] Square in the Parish of Saint James in the
City of Bristol and County of the same City for the space of
Two years all under one hiring at Five Pounds by the years
Wages Diet and Lodging quitted the same about Sixteen Years
ago since which he hath not been a Yearly hired Servant in
any one place for Twelve Months together nor done any act
to gain a Subsequent Settlement That he was Married to [..]
late Wife Elizabeth< no role > at the Parish of Church of Saint Augustine
in the City of Bristol on the 25th. day of December 1793. by
whom he hath living one Child to wit, William< no role > born 1st. May
1795. baptized in Saint Michaels Church in Bristol .
