of Westminster ,
To wit.}


To the Constable or other Officer of the Peace of the Parish of St. Martin in the Fields ,
Within the Liberty of Westminster , and County of Middlesex , or to the Contractor
for conveying Vagrants from and out of the said Liberty and County, to receive and
convey; And to the Church-Wardens, Chapel-Wardens, or Overseers of the Poor of
the Parish, Place, or Precinct of Saint James in the City of Bristol and
in the County of the same City or either of them, to receive and obey.

WHEREAS John Tipping< no role > hath been appre-
hended in the said Parish of St. Martin in the Fields , and duly convicted
before Me, one of his Majesty< no role > 's Justices of the Peace in and for the said City and
Liberty, for that he the said John Tipping< no role > did
unlawfully run away and leave his Child, to wit William
Aged three Years and upwards whereby he became chargeable to
[..] the last-mentioned Parish. And the said John Tipping< no role >
as such Rogue and Vagabond, hath been this Day committed by Me to the House
of Correction for the said City and Liberty, for the Space of Seven
Days (which I do hereby certify): and upon Examination of the said John
Tipping taken before me upon Oath (which Examination is here-
unto annexed) it doth appear that the said Parish of Saint James Bristol< no role >
is the Place of his last legal Settlement.

THESE are therefore to require you the said Constable, or other Officer
(immediately after the Expiration of the said Seven Days) to convey the
said John Tipping< no role > and Child to the Parish of Colnbrook
in the County of Bucks that being the first
Parish in the next Precinct, through which they ought to pass, in the next
direct Way to the Parish of Saint James Bristol< no role > to which they are
[..] to be sent, and to deliver them to the Constable or other Officers of such first
Parish, in such next Precinct, together with this Pass, and the Duplicate of the
Examination of the said Vagabond, taking his Receipt for the same. And the said
Vagabond is to be from thence conveyed on in like Manner to the Parish of
Saint James Bristol aforesaid, there to be delivered to some
Church-Warden , Chapel-Warden, or Overseer of the Poor, to be provided for
according to Law. And you the said Church-Wardens, Chapel-Wardens, and
Overseers of the Poor , are hereby required to receive the said Person, and provide
for them as aforesaid.
