Articles of the Peace Exhibited by John Collick< no role > of Saint Martins Lane in the Parish of Saint
Martin in the Fields within the liberty of Westminster in the County of Middlesex Esquire as well upon the Oath of the
said John Collick as upon the Oath of Wiliam Daniel< no role > of the same place Shopman to the said John Collick against Elizabeth
Faysell
< no role > of the Parish of Saint Martin in the Fields within the Liberty of Westminster in the County of Middlesex through
fear of death or of receiving some bodily him

First This Exhibitant the said John Collick upon his Oath saith that the said Elizabeth Haysell< no role > hath at several and divers
times and for many Years last Past threatned to do him this Exhibitant some great Personl Mischief and by such Threats
and most foul and abussive Language occasioned great Crowds of Persons to assembled themselves together about this Exhibitants
House in Saint Martins Lane whereby this Exhibitant hath been put into great fear and danger of his life
SecondlyThis exhibitant on his Oath further saith that she the said Elizabeth Haysell< no role > hath been several times
committed to Prison for breaking the Windows of this Exhibitants House in saint Martins Lane and for using threats
against the life and person of this Exhibitant in order to secure his life and person from dangerAnd this Exhibitant
on his Oath saith that after the said Elizabeth Haysell< no role > was discharged from prison which she had been confined under
Article, of the Peace exhibited by this Exhibitant hath again at Intervals repeated her ill conduct towards this Exhibitant
and with most foul and abusive Language threatened to do him some bodily mischief and particularly in the month of
March last came several days to this Exhibitants House in Saint Martins Lane until the Sixteenth day of March when she
endeavoured to excite and stir up several persons assembled together near this Exhibitants House in St. Martins Lane by using most
foul and abusive Language caling this Exhibitant among many other abusive names [..] Body old Rogue and threating that
She the said Elizabeth Haysell< no role > would do for himThis Exhibitants yes (meaning as this Exhitant verily believes thereby to do
this Exhibitant some bodily harm) and was obliged to send for the Beadle of the Parish who took her into Custody and thereby
secured his person from danger.

TheirdlyThis Deponent the said William Daniel< no role > for himself upon his Oath saith that for he space of five or six days next
before the sixteenth day of March last the said Elizabeth Haysell< no role > came every day near to and opposite the door of the House
of the said John Collick and used most foul abusive and threatenning Language towards him and did thereby occasion great numbers
of persons to assemble themselves together about the house of the said John Collick and to continue there for a long space of
time and did endeavour us far as in her lay to excite them to Act in a riotons and disorderly manner to the great tear or
and Affrightment of the said John Collick and his Family And this Deponent further saith that on the said sixteenth
day of March last the said Elizabeth Haysell< no role > came and sat herself on the Threshold of the door of the said John Collicks< no role >
House in Saint Martin's Lane and did again repeat her usual foul abusive and threateing Language and thereby occation
many Persons to assemble themselves together to the number of between thirty and forty persons and to continue & long
space of time together and did endeavour as far as in her lay to Excite and she up the Persons so assembled together to
do some mischief to the Person and property of the said John Collick and the said William Daniel< no role > further saith that the said Elizabeth
Haysell
< no role > seeing the said John Collick in his Warehouse made use of several violent Gestures and foul abusive and threatning language and
among other things speaking to the said John Collick sayed "You bloody old rogue I will do for you yet " (meaning thereby as this
Deponent verily believes to do the said John Collick some bodily harm) And this Deponent William Daniel< no role > further saith that afterwards on the
same day when the said John Collick appeared before the Magistrate in Bow Street to make good his charge against the said Elizabeth Haysell< no role > she pointed
to the said John Collick and sayed 'there is the bloody Ld Rogue " and endeavoured to get at the said John Collick but was prevented by some of the persons
attending in the said Fice And this Deponent further saith that from the manner and Gestures of the said Elizabeth Haysell< no role > and from the Threats the
had before made towards the said John Collick he verily believes that had she the said Elizabeth Haysell< no role > got at the said John Collick she would have
deprived him of his life or have done him some great bodily harm.

FourthlyThis Exhibitant the said John Collick for himself further on his Oath saith that from the aforesaid Conduct behaviour and threats of the said
Elizabeth Haysell< no role > and from the inveterate Malice she has expressed and bears towards this Exhibitant he apprehends and believes that she will take
some apportunity of depriving him of life or of doing him some great personal mischief unless she is restained by the interference of this
Honorable Boust< no role > and therefore this Exhibitant Craves Sureties of the Place against the said Elizabeth Haysell< no role > .

SastlyThis Exhibitant upon his Oath saith that he doth not exhibit those Articles from any Matice hatred or ill will towards the said
Elizabeth Haysell< no role > but for the Preservation of his life and person from danger.
