Upon Reading the Humble peticon of Thos Dell< no role > Exhibited to
this Court thereby Shewing that the sd. Thos Dell< no role > on the 28th day of Sept
in the year 1742 had been bound an apprentice by Indre unto John Neville< no role > of
the parish of St James Westmr. Silver Smith for the Space of 7 yeares to
Learn the sd. art or Trade and that the sd. Thos Dell< no role > had Served his sd.
master upwards of 4 yearesyet hethat the sd. Thos Dell< no role > had been Imployed dureing that
Space in little else then in going of Errands so that the sd. Thos Dell had
thereby been deprived of all oppertunity of being Insturcted in the sd. Trade
besides which the sd. John Neville< no role > the master had lately become Bou [..]
& proposes for the future not to Follow the manufacturing part of the
sd Trade the sd Thos Dellvill< no role > at the Expiration of his sd. Apprenticeshipp
for want of proper Instructions be Rendred unable to get a Livelyhood
thereby the sd. John Neville< no role > the Master haveing lately disposed of his
working Tools It was therefore prayed that this Court would take the
peticoners Case into Consideration & make such order therein touching
the same of this Court in their Judgment should seem meet Whereupon
the sd. John Neville< no role > was ordered to attend this Court this Day & all other
persons Concerned to answer the sd. Complaint & shew Cause why the sd
[..] penconer Thos Dell should not be discharged from his Indre of Apprenticeship
to the sd. John Neville< no role > Now upon hearingAnd the sd. John Neville< no role > being
duly Served with a Copy of the sd Petition & order attended this Court
accordingly And upon a full Hearing of what was alledged by the sd. John
Neville the master & the peticon Thos Dell< no role > the apprentice And as well
Councell for the sd. master as the sd. apprentice and upon Examination
of Sevral witnesses upon Oath And this Court being Satisyed of the
truth of the allegation contained in the sd peticon It is ordered by
this Court that the sd. Thomas Dell< no role > the sd Apprentice be & he is hereby
absolutely discharged from the sd Inde of Apprenticeship to the sd
John Neville< no role > And we whose hand & Seals are hereunto sett being four
of his Majties Justices of the peace for this Liberty (one of us being of the Quorum
present at the sd. Sessions have pronounced & Declared And Do pronounce
declare that for the reasons aforesaid we have discharged & do accordingly
discharged the sd Thos Dell< no role > of & from his Apprenticehood to the sd John Neville< no role >
& of & from the Service of the sd John Neville< no role > accordingly Do to under our hands
& Seals this 10th day of October in the year of our Lord 1746
