Esquires and such other of his Majesty's Justices of the peace
for this City and Liberty as Shall please to be present upon
notice, or any five of them, be and they are hereby desired to
meet, att such times & places as they shall think fitt to
appoint, to inquire examine, and consider of the Difficulties
and obstruccons that the Justices of the peace of this Libty
find and meet with in putting in execucon the late Act of
parliament Intituled and Act for better paveing & cleansing
the Streets in the City & Libty of Westmr Etc occasioned by the mentions shad therein and the said
Referees or any five of them are desired to report a State
of their Inquiry and examinacon in the premises, & their
Opinions thereupon to the Court att the next or any other
general Quarter Sessions of the peace to be held for this
City & Liberty; that such further proceedings may be
had and taken therein as shall be thought meet and
agreeable to Law.
