We whose Names are hereunto Sett His Majesty< no role > 's Justices
of the Peace for the City and Liberty of Westmr. to whom, among
others, it was referred by an Order of the last Generall Quarter Sessions
of the Peace for the said Liberty, to examine and treat with the
said Workmen the best and cheapest Method for building a proper
strong Place at the House of Correction in this Liberty for the
Safe Custody of Felons convict, and comitted from the Old Rayl [..]
according to the Statute, and Pursuant to the Report and Scheme
formerly made thereof and laid before the Court of Quarter Sessions
for the Purpose, Doe hereby Certify and Report. That we have
Several times met together Examined and discoursed with the
respective Workmen and haveing on that Occasion viewed the
severall Parts of the said House of Correction , do find that there
is a; Necessity for Several Repaires in and about the Wards Shedds
and other Places of and belonging to the Same, And that the Necessary
Charge for building the said Strong house and the said Repairs
Amounts to the Sum of two hundred and Ten pounds three shillings
and five pence, The Particulars whereof from the Severall
Workmen have been distinctly examined by us, and which according
to our Judgment are reasonable, and the Same are hereto Annexed
All which we Submitt. Etc. Dated this Eighth Day of July 1715.
