and has been for a great number of years past
conducted with the greatest care and attention to
the interest of the said respective Hospitals The
same having been and being let by and before
the Treasurers and Committees of the Governors.
of each Hospital after Surveys have been previously
made by able Surveyors for that purpose elected in the
said several Hospitals And upon each letting
contracts have been and are prepared and entered
in the Books of the said Hospitals and signed
by such Contractors And in Pursuance of such
Agreements Leases are and have been prepared
by or by the orders of the Clerks of the said
Hospitals And being approved of, examined
and afterwards subscribed by the President
or Treasurer and some of the Governors of
such several Hospitals respectively The same
are and have been left at the Chamberlain's
Office with a Docquet expressing the dates
Parties names, situation of the premises intended
to be demised, Term of Years to be granted, Rent
to be paid and money (if any) agreed to be laid
out in building or repairs And the same being
afterwards carried into the Court of Aldermen
by the Chamberlain his Clerks or Officers, or
one of them have been immemorially and
invariably sealed with the aforesaid Hospital
Seal of or belonging to the aforesaid Hospitals
without any objection or delay and pursuant
to the said Order of the 4th.. day of November
aforesaid without any reading or further
examination until several resolutions or
Orders were made by the Court of Common
