Warrant from
the Bishop of
Winchesters Court


A Warrant from the Consistory Court of the Bishop of
Winchester being in December last brought to Mr Casberd the Minister
of this parish enjoyning Dorothy Ferribee< no role > a Tenant of this Hospl.
and living in this parish to do pennance in the Vestry of this Parish
but in regard that this Parish is exempt from Episcopal Jurisdiction
and a former Grand Committee had given the said Mr Casberd directions
against complying with such Warrants he the said Mr. Casberd
did not admit such penance to be done.

Lease of

We finding it for the Sevice of this Hospital to get in a Lease of a
House calld the two Brewers in St Thomas's Street in this parish held by
the Executors of Mr John Kiggel< no role > deceased whereof 18 Years was to come We
Purchased the same for £150.

Mr Grace Symonds< no role >


Mr Joshua Symonds< no role > deceased late one of the Surgeons of this
Hospital having been Security for Mr Samuel Gale< no role > the late Steward who
died indebted to the Hospital We settled that Account with Mrs. Grace Symonds< no role >
Widow and Executrix of the said Mr Joshua Symonds< no role > and found the
ballance of £297 to be due from the said Mr Gale, But many equitable
circumstance appearing in favour of Mrs. Symonds in respect of the
said Security. We thought it reasonable to accept £150 in Satisfaction
of the said Bond.

antient custom
Visiting the
[..] Hospital


We having resumed an antient custom of Visiting all the
Wards of this Hospital, the Grand Comittee and all such Physicians
who are Governors who were pleased to come attended by the Physicians
Surgeons and other Officers of the House, We found that so great Care
had been taken by the Committee for taking in Patients and by the
respective Officers in discharge of their duties that we judged it
necessary to discharge but one patient.

Gravel


We agreed with Samuel Keep< no role > of Hackney to sell him the Gravel
remaining in the ground call'd the Bowling Bare behind the Bowling Green
House for £70 to be paid one Moiety at Michas next and the other at
Lady day next and he to clear the Ground in 5 Years from the said
Lady day and to level the whole field in a reasonable time and on
such other terms as to digging levelling carriage and such
like as shall be settled by the Sub Committee of Governors living
at Hackney named for that purpose

We have granted to Peter Ellers< no role > and John Robins< no role > Executors
of Mr Henry Tombs< no role > deceased a lease of a House in Leaden hall
Street for 21 Years from Lady day 1737 when the present Lease
