to come at Michas last, Having Proposed to pay downe in hand
the sume of Two hundred & thirty pounds as a Fine so as he may
have a News Lease Granted of the premises For One and Twenty
yeares to Comence from the End of the present Lease which Expires
at Michas. 1772. at the Old yearely Rent of Ten pounds P Ann. And
Qee having Viewed the premisses and finding greatest part thereof
to consist of Buildings which by the end of the present Lease may be
greatly in Decay are humbly of Opinion that his Proposall is
reasonable to be Complyed with, and recomend the same accordingly
to this Court.

And We are to Accquaint this Court That Sr. Robt. Clayton< no role >
Knt . deced our late Worthy President has left a Legacy of Three
and Twenty hundred pounds or thereabouts to be invested in Land
for the Use of the Poor in this Hospitall Upon Condicon That
a Lycence be obtained by this Hospll. within Yeare after his
Death (which hap'ned the 26th. of July last) to hold and
Enjoy Lands in Mortmaine. For which an Applicacon
is now making to her Majesty.

And We have Agreed with Mrs. Anne Brett< no role > our Tennant
of a Farme called Stewards als the Whitehouse, and the Cock in
Parndon in Essex with about 52 Acres of Land Arrable Meadow
and Pasture, That in Consideracon of a Fine of £120. whereof
one halfe is to be paid in a Month and the Remaindr. at the
Comencement of the Lease she shall have a New Lease of the
Premises for One and Twenty Yeares from Michas 1709. at
which times the Old Lease Expires At the Old yearely Rent of
Seaven Pounds, with usuall Covenants.

Lease to be Divided
into Two.


At the Request of Mr. William Abbott< no role > who lately Agreed
to take a Lease of the Old Bird in Hand , and a peice of Ground
Lyeing behind it, We have Ordered that the premises be Divided
and Granted by Two Leases, and that the Fine Rent and money
to be laid out in Building be equally Divided.
